After reports of dozens of injuries to children when the seat backs fell off, almost 100,000 high chairs made in China have been recalled. Also recalled, although no incidents have been reported: strollers and toy dinosaurs.
AT&T said Thursday it is cutting 12,000 jobs, or about 4 percent of its work force, because of the economic downturn. Separately, DuPont said it will cut 2,500 jobs.
There are now predictions of rioting in the streets if the election does not go the way certain groups want and expect.
